.TSP File Extension
File Type 1Digital TV DVR Recording
What is a TSP file?
MPEG-2 Transport (TSP) video file created by a DVR such as a DISH Network DVR; contains a recorded TV show or movie saved to the DVR's hard drive; can use different encoding formats for the audio and video streams and therefore may be difficult to decode or play on a standard software video player.
Some TSP files can be played with Zoom Player, but often times they must be "demuxed" into audio and video files separately and then reconstructed into a new video file before they can be played.
File Type 2TrueSpeech Audio File
.TSP File Association 2
Audio file created in the TrueSpeech format, which was developed by the DSP Group; used for encoding human speech and often contains word clips that can be streamed from the Internet at low bit rates; commonly created from a standard .WAV file.
File Type 3Keithley Instruments TSP Script
.TSP File Association 3
A TSP file is a script used to load blocks of code onto advanced electrical instruments developed by Keithley Instruments. It contains Lua scripting language, which may include commands for an instrument and programming features, such as looping and branching.
Electrical instruments developed by Keithley Instruments are used by scientists and engineers. TSP files only run on Keithley instruments with a Test Script Processor (TSP) and can be run from the front panel of the instrument.
You can create a TSP file from scratch using a plain text editor and renaming the extension to .tsp. You can also create a TSP file by using Test Script Builder, a TSP IDE. TSP files may also be provided with manuals by Keithley Instruments and are then modified by users to fit their needs.
NOTE: Keithley Instruments is a subsidiary of Tektronix.
