What is a TAAC file?

A TAAC file is a raster image saved in the Sun TAAC image format. It contains an uncompressed RGBA or RGB image, which may be paletted. Sun Microsystems created the TAAC format for use on its proprietary workstations.

More Information

TAAC images may instead be saved with the .SUNIFF or .VFF extensions. All TAAC images can be identified by looking for the string ncaa in their file header.

NOTE: Some TAAC files are saved with the .SUNIFF or .VFF extensions.
