.SIS.DM File Extension

Application installater file downloaded from Nokia's Ovi Store, a service that allows users to download Nokia applications and multimedia content; contains a .SIS file but incorporates DRM protection (the .DM extension) so that the SIS file can only be used on authorized phones.

Ovi Store applications are usually installed in the background by the Ovi Store online service. However, sometimes users manually download applications and receive a file with the SIS.DM extension. These files can be converted to normal SIS files by deleting the first four lines of the file in a text editor and renaming the file extension to ".sis."
