A REP file may also be a replay file created by NullpoMino, an open-source falling-block puzzle game inspired by Tetris. It stores recorded gameplay data from a completed session, including player inputs, game settings, and timing information. Instead of saving a video of the match, the replay file records the actions taken during the game so the software can recreate the session exactly as the user played it.

The REP format is designed specifically for use within NullpoMino, storing structured gameplay data in a compact format that allows the game engine to replay the session using the same rules and random piece generation. Competitive players, speedrunners, and puzzle game enthusiasts use replay files to review performance, share strategies, verify scores, or analyze mistakes. Since the file contains gameplay data rather than video footage, it is typically much smaller than a screen recording.
NOTE: REP files are saved in the following directory by default:
C:\NullpoMino\replay
Common REP Filenames
YYYY_MM_DD_HH_MM_SS.rep - The file naming convention NullpoMino uses when saving replays as REP files. For example, a replay saved at 1:32 pm (and 4 seconds) on February 24, 2026, would be 2026_02_24_13_32_04.rep.

You can open REP files with NullpoMino. To open a REP file with NullpoMino, select from the main menu.
