What is a QXP file?
A QXP file is a project file created by QuarkXPress, a desktop publishing program. It contains project information, which includes page layout settings, text, drawn shapes, images, and other page layout metadata. QXP files may consist of a single page or multiple pages.
QuarkXpress enables you to design a wide range of published print materials, such as flyers, newspapers, and catalogs, as well as content for websites and mobile applications. When working on a design, you can save it as a QXP project, close it, then re-open it for further editing. To create a QXP file with QuarkXpress, select File → New → Project..., choose the settings, click OK, then select File → Save or Save As....
NOTE: The QXP project file type was introduced with the release of version 6 of QuarkXpress. It replaced the .QXD file type used by prior versions of QuarkXPress.
How do I open a QXP file?
You can open QXP files with QuarkXPress by selecting File → Open.... You can also convert QXP files with Adobe InDesign with the Q2ID plugin installed.
