The QDF file is the primary data file saved by Quicken. Other related ".q**" files may be recreated by Quicken as long as the QDF is valid.

The QDF file is used to save a model built by a user in Quadro that can be closed and reopened for further editing. After completing the design, the user prints the design and builds it with the necessary Quadro components.
