What is an M4F file?
An M4F file is a video created by a Sony networked surveillance camera, such as the SNC-CH140 or SNC-CH280. M4F videos are typically high definition (HD), with a resolution of 1280x720, and have a 16:9 aspect ratio.
Sony produces a variety of CCTV cameras that businesses, government agencies, and other organizations use for surveillance. These cameras are sometimes referred to as SNCs (Sony Network Cameras). SNCs often save videos they record as M4F files.
How to open an M4F file
You can play the video an M4F file contains in SNC Video Player (Windows). SNC Video Player is a free, Sony-provided SNC emulator.
