An IMI file may also be an image created by Perion IncrediMail, a discontinued email client for Windows. It contains either a still or animated image. Users can create IMI images and add them to emails.
IncrediMail is an email client that includes many multimedia-focused features. For example, it allows users to add images, backgrounds, and animations to the emails they send. These images, backgrounds, and animations, which are often created from IncrediMail templates, are saved as IMI files.
In 2020, Perion announced they were discontinuing IncrediMail. As such, while users can still open their IMI files in IncrediMail, they can no longer send emails that contain the files.
How to open an IMI file
You can open an IMI file only with Perion IncrediMail (Windows). There is no other program that can open IMI files.
