What is a FORM file?
Form created by NetBeans Swing GUI Builder, a tool for building Swing GUIs included in NetBeans IDE; contains placement of GUI components for Java Swing; each file is devoted to a Java class; when a component is added to the FORM file, a corresponding field is added in the connected class.
NOTE: When using the NetBeans Swing GUI Builder, the FORM files regenerate the portion of the .JAVA source files designed by the Builder, such as the appearance of buttons, overwriting any manual changes to the design of the files.

What is a FORM file?
A FORM file is a print job created by PreForm, a 3D printing program that prepares models for printing on a Formlabs printer. It contains model data from an .STL or .OBJ file imported in PreForm and includes print settings that specify how the model should be printed by a Formlabs printer.
FORM files are helpful for repeat print jobs since they allow you to save your printing settings. Instead of choosing the settings every time you print a model, you can use the FORM file to store the settings.
NOTE: If you ever encounter a problem with a Formlabs print job, it is important to have the FORM file you used in order to send it to Formlabs. They can analyze the file to determine the error(s) that occurred.
