What is a CHG file?
A CHG file contains financial information created by Intuit Quicken, a financial management app. Quicken no longer stores data in CHG files, making the files obscure.
Intuit Quicken is a personal finance application for managing and tracking multiple financial accounts. The software categorizes your spending, helps you manage your budget, and sets goals for eliminating debt.
NOTE: Only early versions of Quicken software use CHG files. You will not find CHG files with recent versions of the software.
How to open a CHG file
You should not attempt to open CHG files manually. Instead, Intuit Quicken references the CHG file. However, Quicken no longer supports CHG files.
