A URLX file is a song chart created by URLX, a browser-based rhythm game. It contains JSON-formatted data that describes the buttons a player is meant to push during a song. URLX files also contain metadata that defines the chart's name, beats per minute (BPM), and notes per measure.

URLX is a browser-based video game in which players press keyboard buttons in time to music. Typically, players upload a song (saved as an .MP3, .WAV, or other type of audio file) and create an accompanying chart that defines when and what buttons they must press during that song. These charts are saved as URLX files.
To export a chart as a URLX file, players press the button found in URLX's upper left corner. If necessary, the player can then open the resulting plain text file in any text editor, to view the data it contains.

You can open a URLX file with URLX (Web). To do so, open URLX in your web browser, select , and then navigate to and open your URLX file.
You can also open a URLX file with Microsoft Notepad (Windows), Apple TextEdit (Mac), or any other text editor, to view the plain text data it contains.
