.IP 文件扩展名

An IP file is a project file created by Design Simulation Technologies Interactive Physics, a physics simulator originally published by Knowledge Revolution. It contains binary data that Interactive Physics uses to load a physics simulation project. Interactive Physics users can also use IP files to create .MOV and .SWF movies that replay a simulation.

Interactive Physics is a Windows program that teachers and students use to model physics problems and simulate their outcomes. Teachers can design problems and provide them to students in the form of IP files, which are project files that Interactive Physics uses to store data about a simulation. IP files may contain pre-set objects, velocities, sounds, information about air resistance or material properties, and other problem-related information.

Students can open the IP files their teachers provide and adjust Interactive Physics' settings as needed to solve their teachers' problems. If a student wants to provide their teacher with proof that they solved a problem, they can save a replay of their solved simulation as a MOV or SWF file.

注: Interactive Physics was previously available for Macs, but does not work on current macOS operating systems.

You can open an IP file in Design Simulation Technologies Interactive Physics (Windows). To do so, select File → Open... from Interactive Physics' menu bar. Then, navigate to and open your IP file. If you want to run the simulation your IP file contains, select the Run button located in Interactive Physics' toolbar.
