A HOT file is a game data file used by 4x4 Evolution, an off-road racing video game. It contains a record of a player's hot lap, which is their best lap on a specific racecourse. HOT files are used in 4 x 4 Evolution's Hot Lap mode, which allows players to race against a ghost completing their hot lap.
