An AFBRUSHES file contains one or more brushes used by the discontinued Serif Affinity Photo and Serif Affinity Designer apps. It stores information about the shape, texture, and dynamics of each brush style that users can apply to their artwork. Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer users often use AFBRUSHES files to share brushes with other users.

Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer are vector and raster image-editing applications similar to Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. The applications provide various tools for creating graphics, including digital brushes that mimic real-life brushes with different textures, such as oils, sprays, and spatters. You can save and share collections of brushes as AFBRUSHES files.

To create an AFBRUSHES file with the Windows and Mac versions of Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer, click the "Preferences" icon in the Brushes panel and select Export Brushes.... If the Brushes panel is not visible, select Window → Brushes.

如何打开 AFBRUSHES 文件

You can open an AFBRUSHES file with Canva Affinity, which replaced the Serif Affinity Photo and Serif Affinity Designer apps.

If you have access to the Affinity Photo and Designer programs, you can import an AFBRUSHES file in the desktop version of Affinity Photo or Affinity Designer by clicking the "Preferences" icon in the Brushes panel and selecting Import Brushes. You can also drag and drop an AFBRUSHES file into the open application.

Additionally, to import an AFBRUSHES file in the iOS version of Affinity Photo or Affinity Designer, tap the "Brushes Studio" icon, tap the "Preferences" icon and select Import Brushes.
