Software Overview

Glare Technologies Indigo RT is a high-end 3D visualization application often used by professional artists for generating photorealistic images. The renderer is similar to Indigo Renderer but offers fewer features for a discounted price. It is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

The program enables real-time editing of material parameters and camera settings, where you can immediately see the changes from adjustments that you make. Additionally, the application does not sacrifice performance to provide more capabilities as Indigo RT uses a hybrid GPU acceleration system, which makes it faster and gets the most out of onboard GPU memory by not storing the whole scene dataset on the GPU. Also, Indigo RT provides various valuable tools, such as HDR lighting, object instancing, realistic camera and lights, and entirely accurate motion blur.

Summary

Indigo RT is a solid rendering system used by artists who need photo-realistically rendered work. It does not provide as many features as Indigo Renderer, but it is also available for a fraction of the price. If you can survive without some additional features, such as extra cameras and materials, provided with Indigo Renderer, go with Glare Technologies Indigo RT.
