Electronic Arts The Sims is the first installment in the popular "Sims" series. The game revolves around creating and controlling the lives of humans called "sims." The Sims was originally released by Maxis in 2000 only for Windows but now supports OS X.
The Sims features life simulation gameplay where you play god and control virtual beings. The game allows you to create and customize everything about a sim from its gender to body type to hair style. After creating your Sim you can directly manipulate every move he or she makes, which includes career choice, purchasing of items and home goods, and interacting with other sims. The original game provides seven different expansion packs that offer additional game features and items for your sims.
The Sims is one of the best-selling PC games and video game series of all time. The original helped popularize the life-simulation video game genre in the early 2000s.
