Aleph One is an open source game engine that is a continuation the Bungie Marathon game engine. It runs on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux platforms.
The Aleph One game engine plays the Marathon trilogy of first-person shooter (FPS) games. It also plays 3rd-party content created by the large community of Aleph One developers. Some of these community-developed games include Tempus Irae, Marathon RED, and Eternal. The game engine includes some key features, such as co-op and multiplayer gameplay over TCP/IP networks, OpenGL rendering, and plugin support for modifications.
