ACCA Edificius

Software Overview

ACCA Edificius is a Building Information Modeling (BIM) application for Windows used by Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) professionals to create 2D and 3D architectural designs. It is an "all in one" software package that provides tools for the entire BIM process, which includes planning, designing, constructing, and managing the project.

Edificius provides a variety of helpful tools for planning and designing a project, which includes the architecture and interior design of the building. The program provides Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineering (MEP) systems modeling for configuring the building's technical installations, such as water lines and electrical wiring. After you are done designing your project you can share and present it with Edificius in a variety of ways. Some of the professional presentation features include videos, photorealistic renderings, and immersive virtual reality tours. Also, as you begin construction on the actual project you can manage the timeline in 4D GANTT charts for each task from beginning to completion and estimate the cost of every detail of the project.

Edificius saves projects as .EDF files, and can import various 2D and 3D formats, such as SketchUp (.SKP), AutoCAD Drawing Database (.DWG), Autodesk Drawing Exchange (.DXF), Industry Foundation Classes (.IFC), 3D Studio Scene (.3DS), and Autodesk ASCII Scene Export (.ASE). The program can also export designs to the Autodesk Drawing Exchange (DXF), AutoCAD Drawing Database (DWG), Wavefront 3D Object (.OBJ), SketchUp (SKP), COLLADA (.DAE), Stereolithography (.STL), Polygon Model (.PLY), and Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) formats.
