The Chinese Android and iOS editions of Plants vs. Zombies 2 include RSB archives. These archives are used to store the game's textures, animations, level and world data, character properties, and other data. RSB archives are stored at the following locations within Plants vs. Zombies 2's .APK (Android) and .IPA (iOS) file:
- Android: ~/assets/
- iOS: ~/Payload/PvZ2.app/
While most players will never encounter an RSB file, players interested in modding Plants vs. Zombies 2 have created tools that allow them to extract and decompress the game's RSB files. These players can then examine and edit Plants vs. Zombies 2's assets and settings, before repackaging the RSB file and importing it back into their game.
