Wat is een PACSAVE-bestand?
A PACSAVE file is a backup package configuration file created by the Arch Linux Package Manager (pacman). Pacman creates a PACSAVE file when it removes a package that is using a modified configuration file. The PACSAVE file contains a copy of the modified configuration file's settings.

When pacman removes a package that includes a modified configuration file, it may show a notification that looks like this:
warning: /path/to/config saved as /path/to/config.pacsave
This indicates that pacman saved a copy of the modified configuration file as a PACSAVE file. If a user re-installs the associated package in the future, they can use the PACSAVE file to restore their custom configuration.
