Wat is een DWLT-bestand?
A DWLT file contains a layout used by the Unity Editor, the development environment included with Unity. It stores the arrangement and state of Editor windows, such as the Scene view, Game view, Inspector, Hierarchy, Project browser, and other panels, including how they are docked or grouped. Unity uses DWLT files to restore a saved workspace so game developers, technical artists, and level designers can return to a familiar window arrangement when opening or switching projects.

Unity creates and manages DWLT files automatically for current and project-specific layouts. The Editor stores project layouts in the UserSettings/Layouts directory and also keeps layout files in Unity's preferences folders. File names may include the active Editor mode and Unity version, and special DWLT files are also used temporarily when maximizing and restoring windows.

You can open DWLT files with the Unity Editor through Unity Hub by using the layout controls, such as Window → Layouts → Load Layout from File. Unity can then restore the saved arrangement of Editor windows from the file. DWLT files are meant to be loaded and managed by Unity rather than edited directly.
