SPPKGファイルとは？
An SPPKG file is a mod for Portal 2, which players can install using Spplice (Simple Portal 2 Package Loading Instrument for Convenient External modding). Modders create SPPKG files using Spplicer, an Spplice mod packaging tool. After creating an SPPKG file, modders typically upload it to Spplice's online repository, so other players can easily download and install that mod.

Portal 2 is a popular first-person puzzle-solving video game published by Valve. Because Valve encourages players to modify their games, Portal 2 has a healthy and enthusiastic modding community.
To make modifying Portal 2 easier, P2R3 (also known as PortalRunner) created Spplicer and Spplice. Spplicer allows modders to package Portal 2 mods they've created (in the portal2_dlc format) as SPPKG files, which are renamed .ZIP archives. Modders can then upload their SPPKG files to an online mod repository, which other players can access using Spplice.
SPPKGファイルの開き方
You can use Spplice to install the Portal 2 mod an SPPKG file contains. In most cases, players install SPPKG files from within Spplice, and they do not need to interact with SPPKG files themselves. However, if you receive an SPPKG file outside of Spplice, you can install it by placing it in Spplice's custom directory. Spplice will then detect the file and allow you to use it as you would any other Spplice mod.
