An EFK file is a sound data file used by Ensoniq KT series synthesizers. It contains digital audio samples, settings, and configurations for specific instruments or sound patches in the Ensoniq KT (EFK) format. While EFK files are obscure, musicians in the 1990s saved and loaded sounds as EFK files with Ensoniq KT synthesizers.

Ensoniq KT series synthesizers came packaged with EFK sounds, but musicians also created custom sounds with the instruments. After saving sounds, they could share them with other Ensoniq users, who could load them into their compatible KT synthesizers.
