Teeny Weeny Games, later known as Perfect Entertainment, developed the BMV format as part of the Discworld series based on the novels by Terry Pratchett. Although the Discworld II and Discworld Noir games use the .bmv extension, their video formats differ slightly. For example, the BMV files in Discworld II do not contain a standard file header, while the files used in Discworld Noir do.
