The Submachine series of games consists of fifteen point-and-click adventure games developed by Mateusz Skutnik. Submachine Universe was first released in 2009 and received updates through 2017, when the game was re-released on itch.io.
When players download Submachine Universe, they receive a .ZIP package containing a note from the developer, the game's executable (.EXE) file, its introductory .swf animation, and a SUB_LOC folder containing SUB_LOC files. Each SUB_LOC file corresponds to a location that can be explored and interacted with within the game.
NOTA: Submachine Universe's SUB_LOC folder and SUB_LOC files must be stored in the same directory as its executable file (subnet_pc.exe) for the game to work properly.
