Che cos'è un file COMPCON?
A COMPCON file is a backup file created by COMP/CON, an online content manager for the Lancer tabletop role-playing game (TTRPG). It contains a record of the characters, encounters, and missions a player has created in COMP/CON, as well as the content packs (.LCP files) the player has imported. Players can create and load COMPCON files from COMP/CON's home screen.

Lancer is a TTRPG published by Massif Press. In games of Lancer, players take on the role of mech pilots and engage in various galactic adventures. To help players and gamemasters manage their Lancer characters and games, Massif Press provides a web app named COMP/CON.
In COMP/CON, players can create and edit player characters, NPCs, encounters, and missions. They can also import player- and NPC-related content packs included with Lancer expansions. All this data is saved in the local storage of the user's web browser. Because this storage method may be unreliable, Massif Press recommends that players regularly back up their COMP/CON data in a COMPCON file.
How to create a COMPCON file
To export your COMP/CON data as a COMPCON file:
- Go to COMP/CON's home screen.
- Select .

To import a COMPCON file into COMP/CON:
- Go to COMP/CON's home screen.

- In the window that appears, select the paperclip icon.Navigate to and open your COMPCON file.
Because COMPCON files are .JSON files, you can also technically open them and view their contents with any text editor. However, COMPCON files' text is difficult to parse, so you're probably better off importing your COMPCON file into COMP/CON.
