What is a YMKS file?

A YMKS file is an animation used in a WWE SmackDown vs. Raw video game. It contains data used to animate a wrestler's entrance, wrestling move(s), taunt(s), or victory celebration.

In 2004, the WWE SmackDown series became the WWE SmackDown vs. Raw series. Games in this series, up to WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011, use animations saved as YMKS files. WWE Legends of Wrestlemania also uses YMKS animations.

NOTE: Later Yuke's WWE games use .YANM and .ACTS animations.

How to open a YMKS file

YMKS files are not meant to be opened. WWE SmackDown vs. Raw games load and use YMKS files to show in-game animations.

How to convert a YMKS file

You can use SVR Anim Editor (Windows) to convert YMKS files to the .ANIM format.
