What is an XMMAT file?
An XMMAT file is a mind map template created by Corel MindManager, a visual diagramming application. It contains a diagram, which may include interconnected objects, text, images, and symbols. XMMAT files are similar to the more common .MMAT templates but saved in the XML standard instead of the binary MMAT format.

You can save mind maps as templates when you want to re-produce mind maps with similar content and style. The XMMAT templates are especially helpful when creating a mind map, so you do not have to start from scratch.
While most MindManager users save templates as binary MMAT files, the XMMAT format is more transportable since it utilizes the widely-supported XML standard. However, XMMAT files are typically larger than their MMAT counterparts.
