What is an XGF file?
An XGF file is a firmware update meant to be installed on an Xiegu G Series amateur radio transceiver. It contains data used to fix bugs or make the transceiver function more efficiently. You can download recent XGF files from Xiegu's online Downloads library.
Xiegu produces a variety of radio transceivers, including the G90 and G106. The G90 and G106 both use firmware update files saved in the XGF format.
To procure XGF files, you can go to Xiegu's Downloads library, which is located at https://xiegu.eu/downloads/. When you download XGF files from the library, they will be packaged in .ZIP or .RAR archives. To use the XGF files, you must extract them from these archives.
NOTE: XGF files are packaged with .TXT or .PDF changelogs that describe the updates they contain.
How to open an XGF file
Installing an XGF file involves connecting your Xiegu G Series radio transceiver to your computer and running Xiegu's Tera Term software to update the transceiver's firmware. For complete instructions on how to use an XGF file to update your Xiegu G Series radio transceiver's firmware, refer to the firmware upgrade guides available on Xiegu's website.
