.XESC File Extension

Video file created by Expression Encoder Screen Capture, a screen recording application included with Microsoft Expression Studio; saves a recording of the user's screen and may also include audio recorded with a microphone.

XESC files can be played back with Windows Media Player after you install either Expression Encoder or the Expression Encoder Screen Capture Codec. The standard version of Expression Encoder is available for free.
