What is a VIIVO file?
Encrypted file created by Viivo, a program that enables users to secure file before syncing them to cloud services; contains a file encrypted using AES-256.
When encrypting a file, say a .DOCX file, the "viivo" extension is appended on to the file, which makes it appear like this example.docx.viivo.
Viivo provides a private key to each user that is encrypted with AES-256. The key is created from the users password using the PBKDF2 HMAC SHA256 algorithm.
NOTE: PKWARE Viivo has been discontinued.
