What is an SCRIPTTERMINOLOGY file?
File used by macOS applications that include AppleScript support; contains a mapping between developer-defined class names and the English (or other language) terminology that is used in the implemented AppleScript; allows AppleScript to know what the valid commands are for the developer's scripts.
More Information
SCRIPTTERMINOLOGY files are saved in Apple's standard property list format. The script terminology files also have corresponding .SCRIPTSUITE files that define a mapping between the developer's classes and underlying Apple event codes.
NOTE: If you change the .scriptterminology file extension to .txt, you can view the file in a plain text editor, such as Apple TextEdit.
