What is an SCP file?

An SCP file is a bitmap graphic created by RIX SoftWorks ColoRIX, a paint program for MS-DOS. It contains a 640 x 480 pixel image, which can include up to 16 colors. While SCP files are uncommon, you can open them with XnViewMP.

RIX SoftWorks released multiple versions of ColoRIX throughout the 1980s and 90s. ColoRIX saved the digital paintings that users created in a variety of formats, depending on the app's version and screen mode. Other ColoRIX image formats include the .SCG, .SCI, and .RIX formats.
