What is a QAR file?

Add-on file used by QlikView, a data analysis program used for business intelligence reporting; stores an archive of files, which specifies a new visualization or user interface component; sometimes used for integrating third-party visualizations.

More Information

QAR files are saved in a compressed .ZIP format. They contain an XML definition file, JavaScript (.JS) files, a .PNG extension icon image, a .QVPP properties file, and optional data source files.

NOTE: Extensions were introduced with QlikView version 10.
