What is a PPV file?
A PPV file contains a slide show presentation created by Microsoft Pocket PowerPoint, a version of PowerPoint for Microsoft Pocket PC. It stores a presentation, which may include formatted text, bullet points, images, transitions, and sound effects. PPV files are similar to .PPT files but do not support as many presentation features.
The PPV file is used for saving and opening presentations in Pocket PowerPoint, which is an application developed to run on Pocket PC, a personal digital assistant that runs an operating system based on Windows CE. Pocket PowerPoint was released in 2000 as part of the mobile version of Microsoft Office for the Pocket PC 2000. Through the years, support for the PPV format has ceased. There are no known programs that can open the format, which means PPV files can only be opened by Windows CE devices.
