What is a POV file?
Three-dimensional graphic that uses the Persistence of Vision Raytracer (POV-Ray) format; supports shapes, colors, textures, rotations, light, atmospheric effects, viewing perspectives, and other 3D image properties; stored in an ASCII text format.
POV files are defined using the POV-Ray scene description language, which specifies instructions for how the POV-Ray engine renders 3D graphics. POV files can be used for rendering high-quality photorealistic images.
POV-Ray is a free program available for Mac, Windows, and Unix platforms.
