What is a PCP file?
File used by the Windows Installer, which is the standard installer software included with the Windows operating system; contains global settings for a software patch package; used for generating .MSP patch files.

PCP files can be edited using Orca.exe, a tool included with the Windows Software Development Kit (SDK). Patch packages can be generated from PCP files using Msimp.exe and Patchwiz.dll. These programs are also included with the Windows SDK.
