What is a PATTERNLIBRARY file?
A PATTERNLIBRARY file contains patterns created by Corel Painter, a drawing application used to create digital artwork. It stores various patterns users can add to the canvas, including Floral Fabric, Lace Ribbon, Chain, and Piano Keys. PATTERNLIBRARY files are similar to .ABR Photoshop brushes.
Painter provides various tools for creating digital artwork, along with libraries for managing presets. Examples of Painter library file types include .BRUSHLIBRARY, .GRADIENTLIBRARY, and .NOZZLELIBRARY files.
You can manage pattern libraries in Painter through the app's Media Library Panel. To access the patterns, select Window → Media Panels → Patterns. You can then choose to create, import, or export a library with the .patternlibrary file extension.

You can open a PATTERNLIBRARY file with Corel Painter. For example, to import a PATTERNLIBRARY file, select Window → Media Panels → Patterns, click the "Manage Libraries" icon, then select Import Pattern Library.
