What is an MRML file?
An MRML file is a 3D scene created by Slicer (also known as 3D Slicer), a free 3D modeling and visualization program used to create medical images. It is saved using the Slicer MRML XML format. Each MRML file includes references to 3D datasets and scene properties, which are used to construct the 3D scene.
MRML stands for "Medical Reality Markup Language." The MRML acronym is pronounced "mur-muhl." 3D Slicer was developed at the Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH), which is affiliated with the Harvard Medical School.
