What is a MIR file?

Disc Image created by Mini-Image Ripper (MIR), a program that converts SafeDisc game discs into small disc images; stores the game data and excludes the data on the disc not used specifically for the game; creates a "mini" disc about 23MB in size.

More Information

MIR disc images may work for some SafeDisc discs, but the Mini-Image Ripper documentation states that it will not work for all games stored in the SafeDisc format. Some MIR files can be opened with DAEMON Tools, but the program does not include the MIR format in its supported format list.

NOTE: SafeDisc is a disc copy DRM protection format created by Macrovision.
