What is an LLSP file?
An LLSP file is a project file created by LEGO Education Spike, an educational block-based coding app. It contains a program that can be run on a LEGO Spike robot. Spike users use LLSP files to save and share their Spike programs with others.
More Information
LEGO Education Spike is a STEAM learning tool that allows students to build and program LEGO robots. Students create programs in the LEGO Education Spike app, by dragging, dropping, and linking blocks that represent directives. Students can then run their program by:
- Connecting their LEGO Spike Hub to their computer.
- Linking the Hub with the Spike app and their robot.
- Pressing the app's Play button.
If a student wants to save their program on their local machine, they can do so by selecting File → Save as... from Spike's menu bar. Spike will then save the student's program as an LLSP file. The student can then upload their LLSP file to the Internet to share their program with other Spike users.
NOTE: Students can also save a program on their Hub, so they can run the program while the Hub is not connected to their computer.
How to open an LLSP file
You can open an LLSP file in LEGO Education Spike (cross-platform). To do so, select File → Open... from the program's menu bar. Then, navigate to and open your LLSP file.
