What is an LBRN file?
An LBRN file is a project created by LightBurn (version 1), a program used to create and edit designs for laser cutting. It stores information about a design in the XML standard, which includes images imported into the project, along with settings for the cuts to make the design. LBRN files were replaced by .LBRN2 files when LightBurn Software released LightBurn 2.0.
More Information
You most likely will only encounter LBRN files if you create or work with designs that are cut or engraved in materials with a laser cutter. The LBRN files allow users to save LightBurn designs, close them, and reopen them for further editing.
NOTE: To create and save an LBRN file in LightBurn, select File → New, create the design, then select File → Save or Save As.
How to open an LBRN file
You can open LBRN files with LightBurn. To open LBRN files with the software, select File → Open.
