What is an LBART file?
An LBART file is an art library created by LightBurn, a program used to design and prepare projects for laser cutters and engravers. It stores a collection of reusable design elements, such as shapes, graphics, text layouts, and their associated cut or engraving settings. LBART files are saved in a proprietary binary format.
More Information
Makers, hobbyists, small business owners, and manufacturing professionals use LightBurn to create vector artwork, adjust engraving settings, and control compatible laser machines. LBART files allow users to quickly reuse frequently used designs or production settings without recreating them each time.
The Art Library window is hidden by default in LightBurn's workspace. To open it, go to the Window menu in the top menu bar and select Art Library. The Art Library window appears on the left side of the workspace, by default. If you don't have an Art Library already, click New to create one.
How to open an LBART file
You can open LBART files with LightBurn. To open an LBART file with the software, select Window → Art Library and then click Load from the Art Library window to choose the LBART file you want to import. LightBurn Software MillMage can also open LBART files.
