What is an ISD file?
File created by InstallShield, a program used for creating Windows program installers; contains a saved dialog box that can be imported or exported into an installer; used for inserting dialog box templates and custom dialog boxes into an installer sequence; can be "interior" or exterior".
Interior dialog boxes exist between the beginning and end of the installation process and have an image header. Exterior dialog boxes exist at the endpoints of the installation process and contain a larger bitmap image. Both have the typical "Back," "Next," and "Cancel" buttons.
ISD files can be used to create a repository of dialog templates. They can be imported using the Dialog Wizard or the Dialog Template panel in InstallShield.
