What is a GKS file?
Vector graphics file format defined by the International Organization for Standards (ISO) in 1977; contains 2D or 3D graphical data used for charts or other plots; designed as a cross-platform graphics format.
The GKS format was used by the U.S. Geological Survey, as well as some software products in the 1980s and 1990s. However, now it is an obsolete file format.
