What is an EVR file?
Sound file compressed using the Enhanced Variable Rate Codec (EVRC); designed primarily for compressing speech with a low bitrate while maintaining high fidelity.
The EVR codec can be applied to multiple types of audio files, including the 3GPP2 (.3G2) container format. It is used by some Qualcomm hardware devices and can be played back using RealPlayer software.
