What is an ENF file?
Data import filter used by EndNote, a program used for managing citations; stores rules that map fields from an external citations database into the EndNote format; used for importing bibliographic references.
ENF files are often provided by libraries and reference centers online so that EndNote users can import citations. A large list of filters is provided on the EndNote website. Custom filters may also be created by the user.
NOTE: Clarivate EndNote was previously developed by Thomson Reuters.
