.EMB File Extension
File Type 1Wilcom Embroidery Design File
What is an EMB file?
Embroidery format used by Wilcom embroidery software; contains designs shapes, and stitching patterns used for creating embroideries; can be read by compatible sewing machines, such as the Orchida Embroidery system, to stitch embroideries into various fabrics.
File Type 2Everest Embedded Bank File
.EMB File Association 2
An EMB file contains a sound bank in the Everest Embedded Bank (EMB) format. It stores a collection of simulated instrument sounds, which are used to create musical scores with various audio composition programs.
EMB files are typically created and opened by Everest audio software. However, since Everest software has been discontinued, EMB files have become less common and the software has become more difficult to obtain.
Instead of using Everest software, you can use FMJ-Software Awave Studio to open EMB files. You can also edit the files and convert them to other audio formats. Awave Studio is available for Windows.
File Type 3Pfaff Embroidery Design File
.EMB File Association 3
Embroidery design file used by Pfaff machines such as the Pfaff creative series; stores the stitching pattern of the design and can be automatically embroidered on a shirt, towel, or other cloth material.
EMB files can be transferred to a Pfaff machine using the "creative 3D File Assistant" program included with the "creative 3D Suite" software.
NOTE: Pfaff machines are created by the VSM Group.
