What is a DF2 file?
A DF2 file is an instrument saved in the Defractor Enhanced Instrument (DF2) format created by Defractor, a Windows synthesizer application. It stores settings for filters, envelope generators, oscillators, and other effects that configure the sound of the instrument. The DF2 format superseded the Defractor 1.0 Instrument (.DFC) format.
