What is a CD5 file?
A CD5 file is a project created by Chasys Photo (formerly Chasys Draw IES), a suite of image-editing and graphics applications. It stores all project information, including data for static images and animations, in a tag-based container format.
More Information
Chasys Photo is a free image editing suite for Windows that includes tools for drawing, photo editing, image stacking, animation, and RAW photo processing. When a user saves their image as a project, the software creates a CD5 file to store its information.
The CD5 format supports multiple advanced features, including free-style layers with independent color modes, layer blending options, multiple resolutions, metadata storage, full alpha channel transparency, and multi-level lossless compression. It also supports animations, making it suitable for both still image editing and simple frame-based animation work.
How to open a CD5 file
You can open and edit CD5 files using Chasys Photo on Windows. To open CD5 files with Chasys Photo, select File → Open.
